Swedish development research - Sidas råd för utvecklingsforskning
Background
Each year, Sida's Research Council for Developing Countries (Sidas råd för utvecklingsforskning) funds researchers at Swedish institutions in the area of developing country research. The aim is to establish and maintain a knowledge base of relevance to development issues, plus to build capacity for developing country research in Sweden. All applications are reviewed by a committee formed of scientists in related fields.
Who may apply for support?
Individual researchers or groups of researchers working at Swedish universities and colleges or other research institutions in Sweden may apply for a grant. Swedish researchers working at Nordic Institute for Asian Studies (NIAS in Copenhagen may also apply.
Application round for U-forsk grants for 2009 OPENS 12 February and closes 7 April 2008 (16.30)!
Please note that you may only apply for one year of funding (2009) for research and post-doctoral projects. Funding for continued support to ongoing PhD projects can be up to 2 years and for Network projects up to 3 years.
Application round for funding of on-going Networks is open until 18 August 2008, 16.30. !NOTE! Only those with previous funding of a Network may apply!!!
